So here is the 411 on this blower. Powerful and quiet BUT the trigger needs a redesign. The trigger does control the speed of the blower and there is a separate adjustable lock knob. The problem is the lock knob locks the minimum throttle setting. What it should do is limit the top end that the throttle reaches. The lock knob can lock the throttle to the full on position and with the thrust this unit possesses it can potentially move under its own power. Also, by not limiting the upper side of the throttle with the lock knob, the user is required to have a death grip on the trigger if they want anything but the highest output. This has the effect of causing the blower to surge. I own two other electric blowers and both have top end limits on their throttles. They are way easier to control and I believe have longer battery lives due to avoiding the surge effect this blower exhibits.Read full review

There is a lot to like about this blower, the whisper quiet motor, the variable trigger, the Heat sink inside the turbine to cool the motor and battery, the variable trigger lock, the Turbo button, and the 190 MPH nozzle unleashing biblical power. Biblical. I had about 6 inches of standing water in my back yard after a massive rainfall and I had to get to my garage. So I pulled this thing out and created a path just like Charlton Heston in “Ten Commandments” when he parted the Red Sea…now I know how God did it. He bought a Ryobi Whisper series Turbo charged blower and gave it to Moses. :)

Compared to a hand held gas blower it's got the power. So no mess with mixing gas/oil and most gas blowers are throw aways after 3yrs due to many different kinds of issues. Small downside would be the batteries are big and a bit heavy, they will last a while so thats good. They do get warm and will have to cool down before accepting a charge. As for wind power it matches the gas hand held that I had, so I can live with that. The price? it's 150 more than the cost of the gas cheap one. So it can reach hard on your purse strings if you are on a tight budget. Let's hope the batteries last more than 3yrs, and it stays working, then maybe it's gonna be that really cool purchase???

Powerful and light weight. Power is similar to that of my old gas blower, but big power also requires a lot of battery capacity, (Continuous run-time has been about 10-15 minutes/battery) "Turbo" control produces a noticeable increase in air flow. Seems to be a nicely built machine, noise level is quite low, and the charger works pretty quickly.

Works as advertised with plenty of power. The turbo feature is handy with stubborn debris. Only complaint is it uses up the battery pretty quickly, about twice as fast as the weed trimmer. I would recommend the bigger battery if purchasing this item.
