I've now bought four of these Samsung L200 cameras. I guess that means I like them... and really don't see a lot of reason to splinter my supply of batteries, chargers, cords, and such across a variety of different, incompatible camera models. My first one has gotten very flakey (which started after a "friend" fumbled and dropped it into the sand on a beach :-(((( ) but although it worked semi-okay for a while eventually got unreliable enough that I stopped using that one. Anyhow, this one I'm reviewing has been working well for me... I just got back a few weeks ago from a trip to Europe and transatlantic ocean crossing, and I took many hours of video and well over a thousand pictures with it. I keep the others as a fallback. ;-)

I bought this camera for the price and megapixel rating. It has a lot of features for a camera of this price. The good: Comes with a Lipo battery that can be charged through the USB on your computer in about 10 minutes!! The camera is simple to use. It's very small and light weight. It is honestly not much bigger than 15 credit cards stacked on top of each other! The internal memory space is fairly large, it will hold up to 32 pictures w/o a memory card, with the camera on its lowest setting. The not so good: It is light weight, but it is so light, that when the cable is plugged in (to the charger or your pc) it will tip the camera over, or could knock it of a table. If you plan to use the included charger you will have to disconnect the USB cable from your tower, this could be considered to be a pain in the butt if you don't have front USB's, because the usb cable and the charging cable are one in the same. The bad: While recording a movie/video, it will not record any audio while using the zoom in, zoom out function. There is a little flap that covers the charge jack/usb output. I can easily see this getting broken. It is attached with 2 very small plastic hinges with a rubber band to hold the door closed! This is a very cheesy design and I can see it being prone to breakage. The cable plug is a very tight squeeze to get in there. Summary: The video isn't quite as clear as I was hoping for, the pictures, even in 10meg mode, could be a little cleaner. Has a bit of a grainy appearance after loaded to my computer. The picture on the lcd screen is very good though. I would say it is a good camera for someone with patience and small fingers. I am a man with large hands and it is a pain to plug in the patch cords. This is a good first digital camera, but it will not replace a decent $100.00 35mm camera! Good luck and thank you for reading. *Update* One of the biggest annoyances is the low audio. This camera is extremely quiet compared to most other digital cameras. That's fine if you are at a rock concert, but if you are trying to talk to the camera or record anything like someone talking, it's almost impossible to hear. It has been 2 years since I bought the camera and I haven't had a single problem with it other than what's listed above. The flap door that covers the USB jack is still intact. Camera still works as well as the day I bought it.Read full review
I've owned this camera for years and it has served me well from taking it on trips to taking pictures to sell stuff on eBay. It has quality and features for a price you can't beat. Things I would improve is better quality pictures when it's zoomed in, faster shutter speed, and overall better image stabilization.
I love the size and clarity of the LCD screen as well the compact yet light fame of the camera. There are many options and the ease of use is a big plus! The standard memory is poor as on most digital cameras, however, that would be my only con. With more pros then cons, this camera is a GREAT buy.
I love the small size of this camera and the picture quality is great! But, there is a definite pause from the time you press the button, to when the camera actually takes the picture. I think I will be very happy with this camera, but I will need to use our other camera for action shots as this one is just too slow.
