Easy to see and versatile, but...

There is a great deal of versatility in this package. The best thing is the visibility of the home screen. I think it may have fewer features (but I am new to this model). It lost a star because the bands disengage very quickly. Twice already, the tracker fell off and a stranger had to run up and give it to me. I wonder how long I will have it.

CHARGE 5 Not Accurate on GPS, HRM. Seller great.

My wife bought another Fitbit and loved it. I'm a bicyclist and was hoping that the FitBit Charge 5 would simplify my tracking of trips via GPS. I'm still mastering all the settings, but not super impressed. The GPS erred on a bike ride. It reported 48.5 miles while my onboard cyclometer showed 49.8 miles. Heart rate was WAY OFF, an average of 161 BPM, which as a fit 68 year old would probably landed me in the hospital. I also tried it swimming, my occasional rehab Plan B. Hard to navigate to, but figured it out that need to work on the mobile app, along with onboard settings. Not sure of accuracy and maybe with practice will get easier. SLEEP and MOVEMENT data are useful, not replaceable. Otherwise, the Seller was excellent, prompt service and nice price.

  • Nice upgrade

I upgraded my faithful Charge 3 because I wanted a brighter screen that I could see outdoors. The Charge 5 did not disappoint. I like some of the new features like the EKG and water proofing. I do miss the ease of the side button to maneuver between screens, but am getting used to it. This is my 5th Fitbit and so far, my favorite.

  • Fitness and health tracker without all the unwanted “ Fluff” of a smartwatch

Set up is easy and I mean easy for a boomer like me.lol. Don’t even notice I’m wearing it most of the time as it’s lightweight. After haveing gone thru the fancy smart watch phase I realized what I really wanted was a medical/ fittness tracker with just a few extras. I use the alarm to wake up rather than a loud alarm clock. I get notifications I can ignore or read as I choose, all without endless pings and bings thruout the day. Just a simple vibration. It has a stress reader with a timed breath and relax 3 minute feature. Easily read your oxygen, heart, steps, etc. Also has the sleep monitoring I wanted. All the features I was looking for without a tonne of fluff.

  • Help?

The heart rate monitor will only work on my dominant (right) wrist. I have tried changing the dominant/non-dominant feature a number of times. However, it will only give a heart rate on my dominant (right) wrist and will not do so on my non-dominant (left) wrist. What is wrong?
