Would this be a good scope for my daughters .243 Expert Answer

It would be a good scope ONLY if your daughters rifle requires a scout style scope that has a long eye relief. This scope is a scout scope that has a 10 inch eye relief meant to be mounted in the "scout" position on a rifle. This means that it is mounted forward of the action usually on the handguard/forend of a rifle and about 10 inches from the shooters eye.

On a -marlin 336 does a scout scope have to be mounted in front of the receiver. Can the be mounted in the normal position or would the eye relief by Expert Answer

Scout scopes have to be mounted within the listed eye relief to be able to use and see through them. The Marlin 336 can use a scout scope, but almost all of them should be drilled and tapped over the receiver. This allows the user to mount a scope over the receiver in the standard position. If you plan on mounting a scope in that position it can NOT be a scout scope because it will not be usable because of the eye relief.

Shipping is really slow by normal expectations. Low mount rings won't work. Waiting for mediums. Hopefully will have them by mid week. Then we will see how well it works. Putting it on a Savage scout.
