This chainsaw is designed for convenient chain adjustment without tools and features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), which protects the unit from excess dirt, debris, water, or mud during intense jobs. It features an 18" guide bar and saw chain with adjustable automatic lubrication as well as a large oil reservoir and filling port with a view window for easy checking and filling. It's designed with an ergonomic, rubberized soft grip and weighs 14.6 lb. with the battery in place for reduced operator fatigue.

This kit includes (1) 40V MAX XGT lithium-ion 5.0 Ah battery and 1 charger. The battery features rigid rails that secure the battery to the tool during high-demand applications as well as 4 green LED indicators that show the charge level clearly. The battery also features an impact-resistant outer case and shock-absorbing inner liner that is engineered to protect the battery and ensure it remains securely attached to the saw. The charger allows the batteries to reach a full charge in just 50 minutes, features a digital display that shows the battery charge level, and includes XGT technology that protects against overload, over-discharge, and overheating. This chainsaw is only for use with Makita batteries and chargers.
