Use the variable speed trigger with 0 - 4,882 FPM chain speed to take care of large or small trimming jobs easily for up to 160 cuts in 4 x 4 cedar per charge. This arborist's chainsaw features a built-in lock-off lever that prevents the saw from engaging accidentally and is compatible with Makita 40V MAX XGT lithium-ion batteries and chargers.

This chainsaw is designed with a captured bar nut and lateral chain tensioning for convenient operation and maintenance and features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), which protects the unit from excess dirt, debris, water, or mud during intense jobs. It features a 14" sprocket nose guide bar and saw chain with adjustable automatic lubrication as well as a large oil reservoir and filling port with a view window for easy checking and filling. It weighs 9.2 lb. with the battery in place for reduced operator fatigue. The outer case is made with IPX4 weather-resistant construction for durability and long life.

This kit includes (1) 40V MAX XGT lithium-ion 4.0 Ah battery and 1 rapid charger. The battery features rigid rails that secure it to the tool during high-demand applications as well as 4 green LED charge level indicators. It also features an impact-resistant outer case and shock-absorbing inner liner that is engineered to protect the battery and ensure it remains securely attached to the saw. The charger allows the batteries to reach a full charge in just 45 minutes, features a digital display that shows the battery charge level, and features XGT technology that protects against overload, over-discharge, and overheating. This chainsaw is only for use with Makita batteries and chargers.
