Features

Overview: The Midland T10 package contains two Midland X-Talker T10, hand-held, two-way radios with belt clips. These rugged state-of-the-art radios operate on FRS (Family Radio Service) channels, so no FCC license is required.

20-Mile Range: The Midland X-Talker T10 provides two-way radio communication up to 20 miles. Maximum range can only be achieved over water or open rural areas under optimum conditions.

22 Channels w/ 38 Privacy Codes: The Midland X-Talker T10 two-way radio offers 22 FRS channels with easy button access for channel selection. 38 privacy codes with CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) give you up to 836 channel options to help you block other conversations. The result is clear, crisp communication.

Channel Scanning: The Midland two-way radio can scan all 22 channels for activity. The two-way radio will rapidly scan each of the 22 channels and stop on any active channel for six seconds before resuming scan.

LCD Screen: The X-Talker two-way radio features and LCD screen that indicates Channel Number, Privacy Code, and Battery Meter; as well as icons for Weather Band, Key Lock, VOX, Receiving, & Transmitting.

Built-in Mic/Speaker: The Midland X-Talker T10 is equipped with a built-in microphone & speaker. No jacks are provided for an external mic or speaker to be used with the radio.

eVox (Easy Voice Transmit): eVox is a feature that allows you to use the two-way radio hands-free. eVOX keeps the microphone active all the time, which means that the radio will automatically start transmitting when you speak. This feature allows you to start transmitting without having to push the microphone button.

Weather Alert Radio: The Midland X-Talker two-way radio lets you select one of 10 NOAA weather-band channels, enabling you to receive weather reports & alerts from designated NOAA stations.

Call Alert & Roger Beep: The X-Talker T10 radio can transmit a call alert with an audible tone. The two-way radio will beep to confirm your transmission.

Silent Operation: The Silent Operation mode turns off all beeps & tones for quiet operation when you are out in the woods hunting or taking photos of wildlife.

Keypad Lock: To avoid accidentally changing the radio settings, you can lock the two-way radio's keypad.

Battery Power: The T10 two-way radio is powered by three "AAA" batteries (not included). A battery level icon in the LCD will display the battery level and will flash "bt Low" when the batteries need to be replaced.

Weather Resistant: The Midland X-Talker two-way radio is rugged and weather resistant, so it can withstand the outdoor elements. However, it should not be submerged in water.

Belt-Clip: The Midland X-Talker T10 radio includes a belt-clip so you can easily attach the two-way radio to your hip. The belt-clip is detachable.

Greetings Brian. Thank you for your question. We have a copy of the Midland manual on our product page if you need more information. As far as turning it on/off, press and hold the Menu button for 3 seconds.
